Kaden had a two week spring break from preschool this year. Curtis was busy finishing up CCAR testing at work until the second week of the break and couldn't take any time off before then, so we were planning on going to either Moab or St. George but Cole had the stomach flu that week and we decided it wouldn't make for a very fun trip with a puking baby. It's a good thing we stayed because I woke up with an eye infection on Thursday morning. Boo. So we stayed closer to home and Curtis just took two days off instead of a week. (Hence the pictures of me with glasses and no makeup. I hate glasses.) We ate lunch in the back of the car which was hilarious and interesting to say the least. I'm pretty sure we still have peanut butter and jam smeared on the carpet.
We went hiking both days. The first day we went to Rocky Mouth Trail. It was a short little hike that started right in a neighborhood in Draper, kind of random. It was steep but decently easy. It had a waterfall at the end and tons of rocks to climb on so naturally Kaden loved it and was in heaven.
We did a movie night and watched the second Land Before Time movie. Kaden loves those movies!
We went to Battle Creek Falls in Pleasant Grove the second day. It was also decently easy but still pretty steep at parts. It wasn't as shady as the other hike, but maybe it's because it's still early spring and there's no leaves on the trees. Maybe we'll have to try it again in the summer or fall to see if there's more shade. For some reason I guess I didn't get any pictures. Oh well.
