Somehow this year we ended up going to three Easter Egg Hunts. The first one we went to was at Bountiful City Park on March 21. It was combined with a mini kid-carnival type thing, which was fun. We saw some of our neighbors there, the Seals and the Hansens, so Kaden had some friends to do the egg hunt with. He gets the concept of Easter Egg Hunts much better than last year, so he ran and got as many eggs as possible, then sat down and devoured the contents of all of them within about 5 minutes. I'm sure that's his favorite part. He was very disappointed to find that a few of his eggs contained no candy, but rather a 10% off coupon for fine art at a local gallery. Ha ha. What a rip off! Good thing he had other egg hunts to come afterwards or that might've been a bit depressing.
Kaden loved the bouncy house at the carnival, but yet he kept trying to climb out. He didn't get the concept that you go in, jump for a few minutes, then get out all together when they tell you to. He just wanted to come and go as he pleased. Typical Kaden...
The mad dash for as many eggs as you can find. Kaden didn't want any help this year, and did pretty well all by himself.
After the egg hunt we played some of the carnival games and he was thrilled that he got a yo-yo at the fish pond. Curtis is actually quite good at yo-yoing (a hidden talent, I had apparently never discovered of his until this particular day). Kaden was quite in awe of Daddy's awesome skills and tricks.
These are just a few random pictures from a playdate at the park recently, but I needed to put them somewhere, so here you go. Lately Kaden is really obsessed with his "struction" (construction) vehicles. He loves taking them down the slide, digging with them, filling them up, dumping them out, helping them dig, etc... He especially loves the dump truck and the "escavator" (excavator) because we've seen quite a few lately.
