Kaden is now three and a half! He's so grown up in some ways. He is very funny and very creative. Lately he loves to draw with markers and paint pictures on the easel. He's super into music and loves to drum, play piano and try to find as many ways to create a one-man-band with as many different instruments as possible. He is super talented at making up songs or doing his own versions of common songs like the ABC's. I swear this kid is going to be a musician/composer someday if he practices all the instruments he has aspirations of learning to play. His favorite music right now is the Piano Guys. He is obsessed and will watch their music videos for hours if we'd let him. What three year old likes classical piano and cello music? Granted, they make it fun, but it's kind of funny.

Kaden loves going to Leafy Treetop Preschool and is doing very well. He loves to count right now and we are constantly counting everything. He's pretty good at adding and subtracting. He notices all the street signs and letters on buildings and asks what they mean or what company is that? He loves to "read" books to himself. We read the same ones over and over and over, so he has them pretty well memorized. I love when I'm busy with the twins and I'll hear him making up his own dialogue to the stories as he reads them to himself.
Kaden is becoming more imaginative each day. He loves to dress up like a Firefighter, chef, "ninjin turtle", construction worker, etc... He loves to play with his toys and little action figures and often creates story lines and character conflict between them. He's really into "good guys vs. bad guys" right now and will constantly overturn baskets and boxes so the bad guys can be in jail. Sometimes it's crayons vs. markers, Stegasaurus vs. T-Rex, in the bath tub toys it's cats vs. dogs. It's so funny what he comes up with!
He loves his brothers and is constantly trying to find ways to make them laugh and smile. He is a good helper to me. He loves to help get diapers, wipes, bibs, toys, crackers, etc... for the babies. He is very helpful around the house. His daily job is emptying/sorting the clean silverware from the dishwasher and once a week he helps me sort laundry and find sock matches. He always puts away his own clean clothes.
Kaden loves to play outside with friends. He is really good at scootering. He even wore holes in his shoes from scootering so much and stopping with his feet. (We're still working on the back break.) He's learning to ride his bike with training wheels but living on a mountainside means lots of steep hill by our house, which are a bit of a deterrent because he gets going so fast and gets nervous and forgets to pedal backwards to stop. But no matter if he crashes, he always gets up and tries again.
Kaden is getting more independent. He picks out his own outfits each day entirely down to the underwear and socks, (he's pretty good at matching) he can dress himself, put on his own shoes and jacket and do most of his get ready routine. (He can brush his teeth, get his washcloth wet to wash his face. I still do his hair and "help" brush teeth, but he honestly is pretty good at it.) He can buckle his own carseat buckles, which I must say is quite nice to eliminate one thing for myself when going somewhere. He is growing up and becoming quite the delightful boy. He makes us laugh and he's constantly saying things that crack us up. He is silly and a bit of a spitfire with a temper sometimes but we adore Kaden and are so glad he's part of our family!
My twins are 8 months! Eek. It is all going so fast! I swear it goes faster with twins because I'm double busy all the time and don't have as much time to revel in it.
Cole and Carson are so cute and fun. They love to play with each other. They love to eat and explore everything. They both get very angry when they have something and you take it away from them. Coley cries the cutest big alligator tears. His sad face melts me every time.
For some reason I only got individuals of Cole this month. Carson must not have been cooperating? Poor kid. Third child syndrome for sure. Cole drools like you wouldn't believe. He is soaked every day. He continues to be my easygoing, peaceful baby. He fusses only when he's really hungry and really tired. Give the kid food or a nap and he's the happiest baby on the planet. He makes us friends wherever we go. He smiles at everyone and is always so cheerful. He's our sweet Chunkerdoodles, but don't let that fool you. This boy can wiggle and roll and scoot with the best of them. He weighs 21 lbs. and wears size 9-12 month clothes. And even those are snug quite a bit. He's so short that I can't really move him up a size just to fit his girth though. Coley loves playing peek-a-boo and laughs hysterically at Kaden whenever he's around.
Carson is our talker. He jabbers to himself all day long. He loves to say, "bwa bwa bwa" and if you say it back he smiles his big gummy grin at you and continues to repeat it as long as you are game to play back and forth. Carson is very curious and loves to army crawl over to things and then peek inside. He loves to tip over the basket of diapers and wipes on the floor, eat the diapers, pull the wipes out of the package and then eat those. He is a BUSY boy! He weighs 19 lbs.
As I was trying to take these pictures the twins wouldn't look at me for most of them. What can I say? Kaden is just way more interesting and fun than me.
The boys are so easily distracted at this age and both of them need a toy or something to play with at all times. If they can't find something, they play with their fingers or toes.
